Club Lights

The lights distort my vision. I can't focus on anything. The plastic cup in my hand topples to the ground and the golden alcoholic beverage spills over the floor glistening as it reflects against the very things that disturb my pupils. I topple over in an attempt to pick it up only to it's no longer salvageable. I huff as I struggle to my feet among the dancing crowd avoiding the large man dancing violently beside me. Then I see her. As clear as day, like my world was no longer dark and gloomy. There she stood at the bar the lights blurring around her like sunlight.  Everything seemed to freeze as I found myself staring at her my mouth agape. Her porcelain skin beautifully complemented by her red lips. Oh her lips. How I wished to be lost in them, to feel them against my own if only for a moment.

It seemed i'd been staring for too long as I'd gathered the attention of a male. My gaze broke as he grabbed my arm tightly. I gasped and looked to him. The tall brute of a man with oily black hair and dry lips. What did he want? To ridicule? To fight? No...
The man made a crude comment about my infatuation for the beautiful girl before wrapping his hand around my backside and pulling me close to him. Then it happened, That's when I felt it, His tongue was down my throat as he embraced me roughly. He smelt of beer and cigarettes and tasted much worse. Eugh! I pushed the man away and composed myself as he walked off defeated and embarrassed and turned back to where she was. But she was there no longer. I let out a short sigh before looking back to the spilled drink on the ground. I then tucked my long red hair behind my ear, pursed my lips and adjusted my bra to sit evenly over my breasts before staggering out of the club. It was time to go home...
